Today Jac taught us how to use the mixer and other things like setting it up, connect the microphones to it. The mixer is mostly used in events like concerts, live broadcast entertainment programmes and interviews.
Jac also told us some precautions we need to take note when we are in the studio like make sure wires is always tape down to the floor, don't let anyone trip on them and drop the camera or lights. He told us that in the industry, there are not much people who works as a visual mixer because it is a very stressful job and people who takes up the job are the middle age men and they have many years of experience with it. Today is a very interesting lesson and I have learnt many new things.
After class ends, my groupmates and I we discussed about assignment 1. We decided to change the script into a very bitchy and funny one. The interview will be the host interivewing a filmmaker who is weird, funny and she loves pink a lot. The whole interview will be light hearted and funny. We also talked about the camera & lighting plan, production design plan and split up the job scope.
